Weekend Highlights

1. Hanging out with Fudge and Julia after school Friday-- Fudge knit in the car, we got slushies and watched the Andritch family interview that was on the news this week.

2. Hanging out with Hope, Katy and Julia-- dinner together, visiting Ciara at work, braceleting together and having Maddie, Hannah and Cass show up to hang out with us.

3. Doing a service project at Northview with Julia, Elise and Liz-- we packed snacks for ISTEP week for an IPS elementary school.

4. Lunch date with Molly Hicks-- she's a rock star and it had been way too long since we had hung out last. I'm so thankful for her positivity, honesty and the way she sticks to her convictions.

5. Having Jackie come over to hang out and talk all things school and YL. I'm so thankful for her friendship in my life.

6. Wyld Life Disney Club-- Oh holy cow I love club. There's a whole post on that.

7. Going to church with Hannah Conrad, Maddie and her whole family. Then going to brunch with the same crew at the Hawthornes. Maddie, Hannah and I are on day 3 of hanging out together.

8. Dinner date with fellow English teachers KCraig, Jan and Jeannie. We laughed hard and told stories and made plans about what we hope will happen next for all of us.

9. Finding out tomorrow will start with a TWO HOUR DELAY!

How to have an awesome Disney Wyld Life Club:

Greet the kids as they walk in to Club and take loads of pictures...

Make sure to note all the creative costumes...

Sing Let It Go and Be A Man at the top of your lungs...

Norwegian Nose Dive-- Partners scramble around the room until you call out two body parts and they have to find one another and touch those two parts. Cheek to cheek, knee to elbow, foot to hip, butt to armpit...

Random Relay-- Put 10 random commands in a bag for each team. On your turn pull a card, complete the random activity, run back and tag your partner. Have kids do things like: grab friends and make a 5 person pyramid, get a handful of snow and throw it on Max, take a selfie with KCraig, touch all four corners of the room, jump on Jacob's back and tap him on the head three times, do 3 pushups and 3 cartwheels, get a mouthful of water and gargle, find a basketball and make a basket, pick up Jesse G...

M & Ms Transfer- One partner sucks up an M & M on the end of straw and keeps inhaling so it stays there until they drop it in their partners mouth. The first team to eat all their candy wins...

Jess gives an awesome Club Talk about the storms in our life and when Jesus calmed the storm when the disciples were on the boat.

Get into small groups and talk about the storms we're facing, where we go to for guidance and help, and how Jesus can give us peace in the middle of the storm.

Crawl into really small spaces...

Hang out with everyone until their parents arrive...

Go hang out with Maddie and Hannah at Dairy Queen after Club. Don't tell Maddie that she can't wear the overalls and straw hat inside...
