Our man Red is a happy little guy and he might be happiest when his plate is full of good food. We love his smile and laugh and how he loves to climb up on everything and everyone.
It was a rainy morning which kept us inside with waffles, books, friendship bracelets and fort building. After lunch and naps Mom and I ventured out on a walk to the mountain. We decided it was ski-worthy weather and bundled up Linc after he woke up.
Nick met us out at the ski lift after a couple runs and joined our ski team. Lincoln has improved so much in just two days. He's got the bear arms perfected and has moved on to growling while skiing down the mountain.
We still kept him between our legs for the steep parts but he really did so much on his own. Linc was still smiling and laughing the whole way down the mountain.
Bethie was the best cheerleader today, always catching Linc at the bottom of the mountain and helping him get to the far ski lifts.
Linc walked back to our cabin with mom and insisted carrying his skis over his shoulder just like Nick and I do. Nick and I took a couple more runs down the mountain at our own speed since we lost the 3-year-old.
We had a roasted chicken and vegetables dinner tonight plus my favorite green bean casserole. The funniest part of dinner was probably when Lincoln would put scotch tape over his eyes like a "mask" and then have Bethie put a bite of food in his mouth so he could guess what it was.
We're all excited for Christmas Eve and more fun tomorrow!
