A new week of CILTs means new things from the CILT Jar. Do you notice a repeat? It was just too good to not do again.
This is the kind of reaction you get when Joel and Tom tell you that you get a bonus rest hour (without campers) this week before one of your nights off. There were actual tears of joy from a few people.
The first two gals to move into Choctaw this afternoon were Julia Dewolf and Lucy Welch. Oh holy am I so excited to hang out with this pair for the next two weeks. We're going to have a blast.
It was one of the fastest check-ins ever and soon all 30 girls had arrived to the Longhouse.
Sarah Ryan, one of Chrissy and Kendall's fav old campers, is back in Seminole for two more weeks. Because we both really love Chrissy and Kendall we thought it was only fitting that we finally become friends. So we're both going to work on that in the next two weeks.
These CILT girls are so pumped about life and swim checks and being back at camp.
We're living up Liz's last two weeks at Tecumseh this summer. Stunt #1-- dunking our heads in the pool to cool off and then having Ellyn buns on top of our heads.
We also decided to start #CampTMirrorPics this week. The trend will probably catch on...
The pool house mirror...
The bathroom by the Party Room mirror...
Today Maggie wore her shirt from screen-printing with Liz's face on it and "If I was a rich man" which was her audition song for American Idol.
Once upon a time Ellyn was cleaning out her attic with her dad and found a large garbage bag. Inside she discovered over 70 trucker hats. She brought them to camp so that tonight the CILTs could all dress like truckers.
Julia, Arden and Sarah are such rock stars who have each been a part of my life for so many years. I'm thrilled that they're all CILTs together.
We've got a new Brova full of CILT guys...
A whole lotta girls...
ABNAKI!!!
HOPI!!!
CHOCTAW!!!
Scar's cabin came as Diet Coke cans and she was "Share a Diet Coke with Sarah." And then I found Sarah Ryan again and she gave me a friendship bracelet!
Love these CILTies already.
The Welch sisters and their cousin Paige are all here together.
Anna Morgan is here for two more weeks! And her birthday is coming up-- don't forget.
So many of Erin O'Awesome's old campers are back this week. What a crew of awesome girls.
I'm so excited to finally being real life friends with Rachel Kent and Grace Lundy after hearing such great things about both of them and following each other on Insta. I'm a fan of them already.
Besties Maggie Murin and Bridget Duffy are here and I'm so excited about living the dream with this pair.
I'm so excited about this group of girls and all the potential in the next two weeks.
We think for the first time ever, just Ellyn and I led a song together at Opening Campfire.
One camp,
two villages,
three awesome clinics,
four crazy units,
five delicious lunches,
six mornings of worshipping God at chapel,
seven thousand bags of M and Ms sold at Trading Post each week,
eight blue whales at the bottom of the Richard G Marsh lake who nap and spout with equal proficiancy,
nine weeks of having fun on the run in the sun shootin' guns I'm telling you hon on the banks of the beautiful Tippecanoe just 12 miles East of where it meets the mighty Wabash and
ten hilarious, precarious, nefarious Tecumseh campers in every cabin determined to make this the best week of this or any other summer.
