"Rocky's a service animal--she's allowed anywhere."

Thursday was the last day of school for the kids at the Clubhouse. The day was filled with awards in the morning, signing yearbooks, episodes of Survivor, notes from kids and good-byes. Remember how I gave rock notes to my Love Does girls on Monday? At the end of the day Kailyn, Izzy, Claire, Gabby and Brynn surprised me with a rock covered with notes. I love these kids.

To celebrate the (almost) end of school, Ellyn and I met up at Mellow Mushroom to celebrate. We at pizza out on the patio, talked about camp, the new international counselors and everything we're looking forward to.

Friday after I finished school for real I met up with Emma and Maggie for a late lunch. Emma has a bet going with her mom so she brought her own lunch. God bless.

Maggie returned home to help me with the giant YL letters. We measured together and then worked together to paint on all the stripes.

Now we just need to break these guys out at YL camp later this summer.

Love ya Mags-- if we were in the Baby-Sitter's Club you'd be the Mary Anne to my Kristy.

Friday night we held a Pre-Camp Pizza Party for all of the Wyld Life kids headed to Clearwater Cove in just two weeks. We had a pretty good turn out and kids were excited to meet leaders.

This was also the first full day of summer for these kids so they couldn't be any happier.

We played Robot Master, Camp Trivia and won prizes of things we'll need for camp.

Wyld Life is going to Clearwater Cove in Missouri this year for the first year ever. This summer is the grand opening of Clearwater Cove which is awesome because no one has been there yet.

This is the first time I'll be missing Wyld Life Camp with HSE. Goodness, I'm really going to miss being there with these kids and leaders. I can't wait to see pictures and hear stories of their adventures.

"Random question: would you rather receive a bracelet at camp or on the last day of school?!"

My days in Fishers are numbered this summer so I'm making the most of them-- trying to see all my  people one more time before I head to Tecumseh. Tuesday I picked up Fudge so she could have a break from studying for finals. This kid is a champ-- one of the most enthusiastic, silly, positive girls I know.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I wanted to make these YL wooden letters that I saw on Instagram...

My dad is the greatest. Along with his neighbor Bill, he made me a set of giant YL letters. Now I just have to get them painted! I can't wait to break these out at YL camp at the end of the summer.

I can hardly believe that next year Haleigh and Libby will be away at IU and Miami of Ohio. The HSE YL dream started with them in 2012 and they were pioneers in getting this all off the ground. We had one last dinner date tonight to wrap up the year. I'm thankful these girls will be friends of mine for years to come.

8th grade art students make teacher caricatures as their last project of the year. These are collector's items for teachers, proudly displayed in our classrooms. Sydney and Kenzie added to my collection this year. I love seeing what quirky or memorable things they decide to add to the drawing. Their artwork has already been hung on the wall.

I'm officially in retirement from friendship bracelet making. It's true. I will not make another bracelet until I come back from Tecumseh for the next school year. There's just too much going on at camp to make bracelets. I've spent this whole year making bracelets for overnight counselors, staff, DC counselors, CILTs, returning campers, Wilderness girls, YL gal pals and YL leaders. I hope their wrists are ready.

"I would rather burn alive then sit in a car of non-alien believers."

Weekend Highlight Reel:

Home Team reunion when Smoon comes to town
Riding in Ellyn's new whip for about 3 minutes

Chipotle is good for the stomach and for the soul-- if we had a food for this tribe, Chipotle would win... or maybe candy... or pizza

Talking CILT stuff and puzzles and evaluations and purpose statements and all our favorite things

"Sometimes it feels like a dream that we got to do CILTs together for a summer, like it's just too good  to be true."

Saturday morning we woke up at the crack of dawn to cheer at the Mini- Marathon

So proud of these girls and their energy, enthusiasm and encouragement

Yes, yes, yes. I need a poster of this. What kind of tribe are you attracting?

Saturday shenanigans with Smoon, Rach and Cookie that make me really happy

"You'll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things." -Jamie Tworkoski

Those words remind me so much of my long friendship with Smoon and the role we get to play in each other's lives.

As we're riding up the escalator and Megan says, "Oh my gosh, you guys are wearing like the exact same thing. Do you always do that?!"

We ran into Anna Firmani and in the words of Smoon, "When you're in the right place at the right time with the right people to share the right wisdom, you just have to take a picture." This was a divine crossing of paths today.

The grand finale to such a great day was sitting in the Craig's kitchen with Kathy, Alex and the dogs Ben and Molly. The laughter, the talking, the stories-- the best of the best.

MOTHER'S DAY WITH MY MOTHER!
Lucky for me, Bethie and Dave came to town
Church at Northview and then out to brunch with Smoon
I loved getting to be with my mom on her day-- she really is the greatest mom I know

Bethie got to hand deliver Maddie's finished quilt and see the final product in her room. (Don't you love how it matches all of the art?)

A few hours later I ran into Maddie and Mel at Target and helped them start the process of picking pillows for her bed.

Then she sent me a picture later of the complete set-- we freaking love this.
