Blog Hop part 2

3 Things I LOVED This Past Year

Adventures with Sar. Camping trip to Kentucky... quilt camp weekends... YL everything... carpooling... ski trip... snowpocalypse... living in the happiest apartment ever....

Best first day of the year EVER with Sarah Mooney, Mags, and Peanut. I loved every minute of it from playing Sardines to camp people dinner to baking a giant cupcake to making lists all night.

Living the dream at Camp T. 2010 was one of my very favorite summers as a counselor. I loved the counselors I worked with, all of the kids in Team CILT, all of the River kids I played with, our adventures and the way God worked in our lives.

3 Songs I Listened to A LOT This Year- except I couldn't decide so I'm putting 4

Mean- Taylor Swift This is a reflection of the many hours I have spent with Molls this year, screaming the lyrics of TSwift's greatest musical works of art.

We R Who We R- Ke$ha Sar and I have a choreographed car dance to this treasure. We may run this town just like a club but don't really agree with Ke$ha's lifestyle choices.

If I Die Young- The Band Perry Mags got me hooked. The lyrics are depressing but it's just so dang catchy.

Happily Ever After- He Is We I listened to this one on repeat for days specifically because I liked when I had the first few lines memorized and the repeating "We've all got a story to tell," at the end.

3 Main Characters of My Year (that I didn't know before)

Here's the thing. I don't think, outside of camp, I met a lot of new people this year. But this past summer was filled with incredible campers at Tecumseh and I love that I'm still in touch with so many of them today. As a counselor you hope to positively impact your campers lives but usually they make just as big of an impact on you.

Molly. Oh gosh Molls. I really love this girl. We barely talked when she was a CILT but started hanging out once we were back in Indy. She is always up for a craft or Huddles or coloring or an adventure or showing up to concerts/plays/sporting events or camp friend dinner or just hanging out. I'm so glad she is only finishing her Junior year and will still be in Indy next year.

Maggie. I knew early on in Mag's time at camp that she and I were going to be close friends for a very long time. Her friendship, honesty, trust, inquisitiveness and consistency have been my favorite parts of getting to know her this year. I'm so glad that we get to be in the same place again soon.

Annie. When she showed up to camp her knee was in a brace from her recent ACL surgery. Annie couldn't participate in a lot of things at camp but I never once heard her complain. Annie's optimism and ability to find the joy in thousands of small things are two of my favorite things about her. She has a huge heart and I really admire her ability to love people without conditions.
