"The way you cry in devos gets us overwhelmed. Right now you're freaking out about Day Camp next year. I hope you know, I hope you know you are magnificent."

We had a brand-new chapel this morning. Jamie won her boxing match against Sam. Not only did we get front row seats to a fight worthy of WWF but we also got to talk about how God is in our corner and this summer we need to figure out who is going to be in corner.

We sang the Desert Song for the first time and I loved the lyrics.

And I will bring praise, I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

Staff training wolf shirt Wednesday...

This is day six of staff training and it feels like we're really melding together. It's crazy to think that for campers who only come for a week they'd be preparing to go home tomorrow. I'm so glad we've still got more than nine weeks left.

Nine more weeks of playing with baby Lincoln and making him laugh.
Nine more weeks of celebrating birthdays with the Order of the Oar like Jordan's today.

I got fun mail from Michelle Lippoli and Molly Henry. Molls is at 3 points for the week, very impressive.

Tonight we went on the Women's Journey when the boys went to run through the woods on the Man Hike.

I love when we're all together like this because after the children come on Sunday it won't really be just us until staff banquet at the end of the summer.

We got to blow bubbles just because they're pretty and fun.

It's fun to just walk together and not have an agenda. I think we should schedule in walks everyday.

Mel, Whinnie, Kirsten, Katrina and Christine shared their testimonies of how God and camp have changed their lives. It's so cool to hear them each share their heart with us. We talked more about the Butterfly Circus (watch the 20 minute video on YouTube, totes worth it) and then traveled back to the Lodge for a special dinner. We really loved the ribbons on the bridge.

There is something special about this group of women. There are returners, old campers and new friends that are all so passionate about kids and excited about their faith. When we've got those two things the rest is easy.

A new staff training addition was counselor songfest.

There is just something so powerful about all singing together. It was awesome to do this tonight.

We are the saints, we are the children
We've been redeemed, we've been forgiven
We are the sons and daughters of our God

So take me as you find me,
all my fears and failures,
fill my life again

I give my life to follow,
everything I believe in
Now I surrender

I love when camp boys sing fun songs and play the iPod Shuffle game. I love being surrounded by so many of my favorite people. I love revealing our new CILT cheer at lunch. I love figuring out RFAJWD for this summer. I love feeding baby Lincoln at dinner. I love talking to Sarah Mooney every night while I blog. I love hanging out with the CILT counselors and taking a Wal-Mart field trip. I love that there are only four days till campers.
