October Varsity FBC Project: School On Wheels

Varsity FBC is in year four of advanced friendship bracelet making. Our team includes 55 girls from around HSE and across the Midwest. Besides just making cool bracelets, one of our goals is to provide opportunities for these girls to partner together to do small things with great love. Each month I'm going to give them a project where they can make bracelets for a cause. Together we can make a bigger impact than if we were trying to do it on our own.

This month we designed and distributed this year's Varstiy FBC shirts. The timing was perfect as many of the girls were heading off on Fall Break adventures.

This month, we're giving bracelets to kids in School On Wheels Indianapolis. "School on Wheels’ mission is to provide one-on-one tutoring and educational advocacy for school-aged children impacted by homelessness. Our vision is to equip these children with the educational tools necessary to achieve success in life and break the cycle of homelessness." This organization annually serves over 400 kids at 13 different sites with over 400 volunteers. It's incredible.

This month's bracelets were made by Kaylin Hoover, Kendall Claymon, Holden Malone, Livie Costes, Jenna Jenkins, Carolyn Nohren, Kendall Herron, Liza Herron, Sarah Wright, Cassidy Ogan, Ellie Fitzpatrick and Lauren Riina.
