"Santa and Jesus aren't friends... They're brothers."

The Wright Family Ski Trip has begun again. It's year three of this tradition and we're loving being back at Crystal Mountain in Michigan. Last year we got Linc on skiis one day but we think this will be the year he really starts carving the powder.

You know they say it takes a village to teach a child to ski and we've definitely got that down. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sarah were all out on the hill helping Linc do pizza (stopping) and french fries (straight skis)and picking him up when he fell.

Red came along for the ride too and was very content to sit in his snowsuit and watch all the action. Mom and Grandma ran up and down the bunny hill helping Linc and taking pictures of the fun.

Linc really smiled and laughed the whole time and had excellent balance. He's still working on the slowing down and turning parts, but I think that'll just happen naturally right?

The funniest sight is when he tries to stop by falling forward and does a whole somersault. The good thing is that he doesn't even cry.

We took a break after lunch in the lodge and Linc insisted on carrying a pole all the way back just like everybody else.

When we headed back out in the afternoon Bethie came skiing! She grew up skiing with her family and it was just like riding a bike. She and Katie were tearing up the slopes.

Nick had taken Linc down the big hill twice in the morning and we decided to be adventurous again before the end of the day. Katie and I took Linc up the chairlift all the way to the top of the mountain. He skied down between my skis so I could keep him straight but he really did most of it on his own. He kept his arms out like a bear for balance and we yelled, "I'M A SKIER AND I AM BRAVE!" over and over again the whole way down. He did awesome.

Back in our little cabin we had chili and salad for dinner and the Linc attempted to play a billion different games. I was very content to blog all night about the CILT reunion as I caught up on Master Chef Junior, Revenge and Gilmore Girls.
