"Is it possible that you're more excited that Fever Pitch was filmed here than you are that this is where the Red Sox and Yankees actually play?"

Early, early Friday morning we flew out of Indianapolis and headed East. Two planes later, we landed in Boston, MA. We were on our way to Grandma's in NH but spent some time adventuring first.

Justin loves exploring cities, figuring out public transportation, finding all of the important spots and squeezing in as many cool things in one day as possible.

We walked most of the 2.5 mile Freedom Trail through Boston that passes 16 historical locations. History isn't my strength, but it was still really cool.

I was thrilled to end up at the Boston Harbor, to see the U.S.S. Constitution and to take a break by the water after walking for so long.

The woman at the Rental Car counter at the airport told us that we had to go to the Union Oyster House for Clam Chowder because it's the best in Boston and America's Oldest Restaurant. We're good at following directions so we showed up and were not disappointed.

The building itself was quite impressive but the clam chowder and lobster ravioli were delicious. 10/10

And then all of Justin's dreams came true. The rain held off (which was previously forcasted at 95% chance of rain all night) and we got to go to the Yankees v. Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

Now I know not everyone is a Sports! fan quite like me, but this rivalry, arguably the biggest in history, is one I've been studying for years. Seeing the Green Monster, eating a hot dog in the 7th inning stretch, singing Sweet Caroline in the middle of the 8th and seeing a guy run across the field after jumping the fence surpassed all of my hopes.

The Red Sox won tonight, but the Yankees will always have our hearts. We headed NE to Hanover, NH and arrived at Grandma's just in time to fall asleep. We'd surprise her in the morning!
