Chest bumps, bracelet machines and green hatting

The 7th and 8th grade girls faced off after school in an epic Powder Puff show down. What they lacked in knowledge of the game they made up in enthusiasm. I switched back and forth between teams on the field, cheering them all on.

A few brave boys showed up as the cheerleaders. They had spirit, a small but mighty pyramid, choreographed cheers and a victory lap around the track when the girls scored a touchdown.

During half time we tried some field goal kicks, it's tougher than it looks.

Mostly we just had a lot of fun being all together. The girls cheered one another-- I saw plenty of chest bumps and lots of high-fiving. Wouldn't you want to be on a team with these kids?

The 8th grade girls came out with a 34-0 victory over the 7th graders. The older girls creamed 'em but I'm sure the 7th graders will have a victory next year.

It was a Campaigners night, one of the best kind of nights. We laughed with leaders and caught up on each other's lives. It's almost YL camp time so we're trying to get more people on the lists and talking about which leaders will go along. I love when we get to sing together at the start of Camps. Tonight we talked about loving, honoring and recognizing our moms.
