"But it's not Mexican rice. It's white rice with cilantro. It's supposed to be Mexican food!"

We're developing a pattern here- Fitz went to yoga and I slept. Then Marisa and her movers showed up with all her stuff. Look at that brute strength simultaneously moving a rug and finding a spot for that lamp.

Many things are different between NY and IN but Chipotle is equally grand in both places.

Fitz and Marisa both raved about Pinkberry-- the same idea as Orange Leaf and Huddles. Delicious pomegranate, strawberries, blueberries and granola in a cup.

We decided to be spontaneous and head for the Statue of Liberty via the Staten Island Ferry.

While waiting in line we all made a top 10 list. This topic was a challenge- things that people you actually know have done that you wish you could have done.

The free ferry goes right by the Statue of Liberty and even with the fog we could see it pretty well.

After the making the trip across to the island we had to explore for a bit. We found a baseball game with friendly fans and some pretty legit pizza with a fake-nail waitress.

I'm still loving the people watching. I can always appreciate a child on a leash (shout out to you Arielle).

The MoMa is free on Fridays afternoon so Fitz and I continued our adventures there. This is her favorite museum and I love that I got to tour it with her.

"Cut-and-pasted colored paper on paper" I do this. Can I be in the MoMa?

The thickness of these paintings was crazy. It was like whole tubes of paint were flung across the canvas.

This painting is simple but it just screams happiness and joy and summer. It's one of my favorites.

This city is giant but there are famous landmarks EVERYWHERE. We were walking to the subway and we stumble into Rockefeller Center.

I had never tried sushi before which was apparently a problem so we headed out to fix that tonight. Fitz perused the menu as an expert.

Wasabi,  eel, and avacado oh my.

I was brave and tried them all. And guess what? I liked it!

A few months ago Fitz was waiting in line for the bathroom at the Jane Hotel when the girl next to her commented on her shoes. The girl was just a little tiny thing with a giant head and Fitz soon realized it was Mary-Kate Olsen. When she came out to wash her hands she met Ashley and then was invited to go to their couch in the bar and have a drink with them.

So we went back to the Jane tonight hoping we would spot the twins or another favorite celebrity. The whole ambiance was really neat-- a mix of a lodge, the Royal Tenebaums, and a set from a Disney World ride. Unfortunately there was no MK & A but it was still a great night.
