Thursday means FBCday. Today was so fun. One of the most fun FBC we've had in a long time. We played a game where three girls stood against the whiteboard and I wrote names above their heads that were their new identity. They asked the rest of the girls yes or no questions about themselves. If the response was yes they asked another question and a no ended their turn. The first person to figure out their identity won.
Usually we play a game for about 15 minutes but everyone wanted a turn up at the board. I had them guessing teachers, other students at our school, Rebecca Black, Katy Perry, Scooter (Bieber's manager), Hermione, A from Pretty Little Liars, Sydney Crosby, and Libby our guest.
At one point Katy was trying to guess Rachel from Glee. She watches the show weekly and quickly figured it out it was a girl from the series. Katy guessed Quinn, Mercedes, Santana, Brittany, Sue Sylvester, Emma but just totally forgot about Rachel. Meanwhile her friend Rachel was standing next to her playing the game. All the girls in the audience kept shouting, "RACHEL, it's your turn RACHEL, stop laughing RACHEL, you're so funny RACHEL, I love the name RACHEL," and little Rachel was dying from laughter. Katy couldn't have been more confused why everyone was yelling her friend's name, "Why do you guys keep yelling her name?" Finally she made the connection that Rachel was her identity.
My long-time friend Libby came to the FBC as a special guest. She's doing a project at IU on friendship bracelet folklore which required her to come to the club and then interview me- great homework.
After Libby interviewed me we met Ellyn and Molly for dinner at Mellow Mushroom- our mutual favorite. These girls are hilarious and I love spending time with all of them. After two days of sitting in class it was wonderful to get to hang out with these friends. We talked in British accents all night because Molly had at school and she simply couldn't stop.
Not only did I love the lines being recited onstage but I was cracking up at the dialogue between Ellyn and Molls.
"Ugghhhh. I hate when people stay in character. You try to talk to them and ask a question but they just stay in character. Like at Conner Prairie. Ugh."
"Ooooh... I thought you wanted my inhaler."
We ran to Alli right after curtain call to tell her she had done such an awesome job. She introduced us to other people in the cast, we got to take a picture on stage with her, and she adapted to our British accent right away. Can you tell she was so happy to get the rest of Molly's Diet Coke?
