Whoever said they hate Mondays never went to Campaigners.

After school I got to hang out with Darian for mentoring. Every time I am with her I amazed by this 8th grade girl who has so much spunk and asks direct questions and wants to be such a good friend.

I ran into Alli Kenney at Paradise and got to talk to her for a quick second. Then behind the register when I was getting some cards was Rachel, a CILT from 2009, and we were so excited to see each other and catch up for a couple minutes. Running into people is one of my favorite things-- the joy of an unexpected reunion.

Before Campaigners I met a group of Senior girls for dinner.

Dinner was a collection of stories and Mac Miller songs and excited outbursts. I love the little things these girls do well without even trying, like when Coop really listens to what you're saying or when Mac is so excited to see you or when Emily is a comfort to a friend that needs that little bit of extra love.

I love walking down the stairs and into this basement for Campaigners on Monday nights. I love watching the groups of friends talk in this place that has a culture all its own. No one is in a hurry or trying to finish homework and for the most part we're not distracted by our phones for once--we're just present.

I love these girls- Hannah Blachly, Heather, Megan, Steph, Meredith, Morgan, Sam, Carly, Blaire, Kayla, Emily, Coop, and Hannah Simpson. I love that this group of Seniors and Juniors got to sit and talk in a circle tonight about life.

I love that we laughed about the best parts of our week. I love that they each add to the conversation and they listen to and respect everyone else. I love that we're honest. I love that we started reading Ephesians together and talked about verses like this, "Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ." I love that we talked about freedom in Christ and watched the Lifehouse Everything skit together. I love that we are talking about making Christ our foundation so that he really is all we want and all we need.
