DIY (do it yourself)

My friend Mindy found a great DIY project for us. We tackled it tonight after getting Noodles for dinner.

Start with a bangle bracelet.

Cover bangle in electrical tape. You can choose any color but we did blue because we were going to wrap with blue string.

Cut 28 pieces of 14" string. The model we looked at had 7 pieces of 4 different colors and made a checkerboard pattern. We decided to mix things up and made three sections of patterns.

Tape all of the threads flat at one end. Tape the long piece you'll wrap around underneath.

Wrap the long (blue) string around to make tight rows. Lift up sections of string to make the block pattern.

Finished bangles!

This ended up being pretty quick and easy once we got the hang of it. I love making new crafts with Mindy and talking about teaching, camping, life, and friends.
