The Duchess

Saturday began with brunch with one of my favorite people. We went to Cafe Patachou because I love that you get coffee as soon as you walk in and we think that this cinnamon toast will be in heaven one day its so good. We laughed about life, people watched, made top 10 lists. I love when life can slow down for a little bit and you can just sit with a friend and not worry about what's coming next.

My great friend and roommate Jenna is getting married in just two weeks-we're psyched. To celebrate the duchess Jenna we drove three hours north to the lake house in Wolcottville we dearly love for a girls weekend.

Some of Jenna's very favorite friends drove from all over the Midwest to come be with her-- women from High School, college, Champaign, Young Life, Indy, a sister and a future sister.

Our three main activities were eating, talking and sitting. We're darn good at them too.

We made our own pizzas from scratch which was so fun. There was flour all over the counter and everyone was grabbing for different toppings. I love that this house has a giant island and kitchen table so all 14 of us could be together.

It just felt so special that all of these people that have meant so much to Jenna could be together in one place and be so happy and content to just be together.

The great thing is that we'll all be back together again in two short weeks for the big day! Can not wait for this wedding.

The rest of the day was filled with so many of my favorite things. I got to eat a hot dog from Dog n' Suds. Wrote top 10 lists. Ate ice-cream before dinner. Played with Ky and helped her plant "trees". Ate Sunday night dinner at the Nikcevich's. Sang "You and I" super loud in the car with the windows down. Went to church at Common Ground. Ran in the rain. Skyped with Annie.
